-mamma mia~!-
I had the most enjoyable evening last night. After much persuasion, managed to convince ming to catch
mamma mia with me. The day started off well as I went on a shopping binge. Again! you may say..but this time it was for my upcoming Shanghai trip. Bought 2 long sleeved tops from U2 and 1 brown jacket frm Topshop.
Dinner was at Via Mar as ming had a complimentary voucher where 2 paid for the price of 1. The ambience was really romantic. Hm, ideal venue for future dates anyone? I wonder if both of us were ravenous but we simply polished off the dishes in a matter of 10 minutes. This also had to do with the fact that we were running late for the musical.
Let me tell you it is no joke running along the corridor to get into the theatre. Which was precisely what I ended up doing in my 2 and 1/2 inches heels. Nevertheless we settled down quickly and it was one night of enjoyment listening to Abba's music and watching the story unfold before us. The grand finale was where the 3 female leads came out in Abba outfits and had the whole theatre standing up and clapping away as they sang
Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Waterloo etc.
Ming commented that she felt underdressed as most of the expatriates were dressed to the nines. To which my rebuttal was Singaporeans don't dress up for musicals. I would love to wear my evening dress, sip a glass of white wine (not that I know how to drink anyway..haha...) but how do I do that when my mode of transport is the MRT? Haha..before you write me off as another high maintaineance woman, let me state: I can maintain myself.
Both of us agreed that if our guy doesn't appreciate musicals, he can just pay for it and we'll go with our friends. Then again, I think I still need someone who likes musicals. Otherwise I'll be looking high and low for someone to watch it with me. Like I did for
mamma mia..which nearly drove me mad...
